Calysonias is one of the crops that was cultivated on the Agricultural Fields inside Terra Nova. Calysonias only grows in a very specific soil. The plant needs very specific nitrogen levels. Arthur Chang described the plant as "finicky". Therefore, the farmers have to measure the nitrogen levels near the plant's roots on a regular basis.
